What is the Perfect PI Master® and what does Perfect PI®  do? 
The Perfect PI TM Master is a unique patented surface measurement and control system build in a single device. Perfect PI TM scans, detects and quantifies any out-of-round deviations in cylinders (steel, metal, copper), adapters, and sleeves.  This includes flat-spots, which can cause printing problems, once the cylinder or sleeve is installed in the press.

How quick is the Perfect PI Master®?
A cylinder of 1000mm in length and 500mm in Circumference is scanned in only two minutes. After the scan Perfect PI TM generates a user defined report which displays the measured values and an image of the scanned surface.

The only thing you need is a simple digital workflow. Pre-press Rip creates a 1 bit TIFF input for the laser engraver (seamless is possible). The laser calculates dot formation during engraving.
