PRE-PRESS

Controlling the variables in the Pre-press of the flexo process, helps to eliminate variations and printing defects. Direct CTP uses a simple graphic workflow, to process a 1 bit tiff into a 3 dimensional relief image ready for laser imaging into the finished printing form. This ensures no process or operator influenced variation of the digital image through the pre-press process, resulting in exact reproduction of the client image on the finished print form.

CONTROL THE PRE-PRESS WORKFLOW & PLATE-MAKING PROCESS = CONTROL THE PRINTING

So what are the factors which cause changes in the pre-press process and subsequently cause defects in the printing process such as Mis-register & Gear marks

Factors in Pre-press, which can lead to defects and problems during printing

Selection of in-correct plate type or thickness for printing job
In-correct distortion factor of plate
In-correct Dot gain curve
Variations in the multi-stage photopolymer plate making process, leading to deviations in surface finish or thickness of the printing form
In-correct layout of the image
Out-of balance effects of the design

Imaging flexo printing forms using Direct Laser engraving using the FlexoStar laser, eliminates many of these variables and provides FLEXOPERFECT pre-press solution.

WHY NOT LET LEAD LASERS FIND A FLEXOPERFECT SOLUTION FOR YOU

Save time, save money

Save time, save money

The only thing you need is a simple digital workflow. Pre-press Rip creates a 1 bit TIFF input for the laser engraver (seamless is possible). The laser calculates dot formation during engraving.
